Student & Parent Consent Policy
1. Introduction
Dreamleap Initiative Foundation ("Dreamleap", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to empowering students through education, scholarships, mentorship, career guidance, skill development, and other charitable initiatives.
This Student & Parent Consent Policy explains the permissions, acknowledgements, responsibilities, and consent required for students participating in Dreamleap programmes.
The Policy should be read together with our:

Where a student is below eighteen (18) years of age, this Policy must be accepted by the student's parent or legal guardian.

This Policy applies to all Dreamleap programmes, including but not limited to:
- Scholarships
- Student Sponsorship
- Educational Assistance
- Mentorship Programmes
- Career Guidance
- Skill Development Programmes
- Workshops
- Training Sessions
- Events
- Competitions
- Online Learning
- Community Programmes
- Future Student Portal
- Future Mobile Applications
3. Voluntary Participation
Participation in Dreamleap programmes is entirely voluntary.
Submitting an application or participating in a programme does not guarantee:
- Scholarship approval
- Financial assistance
- Sponsorship
- Continued participation
- Employment
- Internship opportunities
- Admission to educational institutions
Dreamleap reserves the right to determine programme eligibility in accordance with its charitable objectives, available resources, and programme criteria.
4. Parent or Guardian Consent
Where required by applicable law, parents or legal guardians consent to:
- the student's participation in Dreamleap programmes;
- the collection and processing of information necessary to administer those programmes;
- communication relating to programme activities; and
- reasonable verification of information submitted during the application process.
Parents or guardians confirm that they are legally authorised to provide consent on behalf of the student.
5. Information We May Collect
To administer our programmes, Dreamleap may collect information such as:

- School or College Name
- Class or Course
- Academic Performance
- Attendance Records
- Career Interests
- Extracurricular Activities
- Contact Details
- Emergency Contact Information
Parent or Guardian Information
- Full Name
- Relationship to the Student
- Mobile Number
- WhatsApp Number
- Email Address
- Residential Address
Supporting Documents (where applicable)
Depending on programme requirements, Dreamleap may request:
- School Identity Card
- Bonafide Certificate
- Academic Mark Sheets
- Income Certificate
- Address Proof
- Identity Proof
- Bank Account Details (for scholarship disbursement)
- Disability Certificate (if applicable)
- Other documents reasonably required to verify eligibility
Dreamleap collects only information that is reasonably necessary for programme administration.
6. Purpose of Collecting Information
Personal information may be used to:
- Assess programme eligibility
- Verify submitted information
- Process scholarship applications
- Administer sponsorship programmes
- Coordinate mentorship activities
- Monitor student progress
- Maintain programme records
- Communicate with students and parents
- Improve Dreamleap programmes

7. Communication Consent
By participating in Dreamleap programmes, students (where appropriate) and parents or legal guardians consent to receive programme-related communications.
Communications may be sent through:
- Telephone
- SMS
- Postal Mail
- Website Notifications
- Future Mobile Applications
Examples include:
- Application acknowledgements
- Scholarship updates
- Mentorship schedules
- Event invitations
- Workshop reminders
- Document requests
- Programme announcements
- Safety notifications
- Administrative communications
Where required by law, Dreamleap will obtain separate consent before sending promotional or fundraising communications unrelated to programme administration.
8. WhatsApp Communications
Dreamleap may use the WhatsApp Business Platform to communicate with students and parents regarding programme administration.
WhatsApp messages may include:
- Application status
- Scholarship updates
- Mentor meeting reminders
- Event schedules
- Document requests
- Programme announcements
- Emergency notifications
- Support responses
Parents and students should ensure that the mobile number provided belongs to them or that they are authorised to receive communications on that number.
Dreamleap will never request passwords, OTPs, banking credentials, UPI PINs, or similar sensitive financial information through WhatsApp.
Non-essential WhatsApp communications may be opted out of where applicable, although important programme-related communications may continue where necessary.
9. Photography, Video & Success Stories
Dreamleap values the privacy and dignity of every student.
Photographs, videos, interviews, testimonials, or success stories will only be captured or used:
- with appropriate consent from the parent or legal guardian where required;
- in a respectful and dignified manner; and
- for legitimate charitable, educational, awareness, reporting, fundraising, or promotional purposes.
Choosing not to provide consent for photographs or promotional content will not affecteligibility for Dreamleap programmes.
Separate consent may be obtained for media use.
10. Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to:
- Provide truthful information.
- Participate respectfully.
- Follow programme guidelines.
- Treat mentors, volunteers, staff, and fellow students with courtesy.
- Avoid bullying, discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour.
- Protect Dreamleap property and learning resources.
Repeated misconduct may result in suspension or removal from a programme where appropriate.
11. Parent or Guardian Responsibilities
Parents and guardians are encouraged to:
- Provide accurate information.
- Inform Dreamleap of significant changes affecting participation.
- Support the student's participation.
- Cooperate with programme requirements.
- Raise concerns promptly where necessary.
- Encourage respectful behaviour throughout programme participation.
12. Confidentiality & Privacy
Dreamleap handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
Information will only be shared:
- where necessary to administer programmes;
- with authorised service providers;
- with educational institutions where appropriate;
- where required by law; or
- with appropriate consent.
Dreamleap does not sell student or parent personal information.
13. Child Safeguarding
Dreamleap is committed to maintaining a safe environment for every child.
All students, parents, volunteers, mentors, and employees are expected to comply with Dreamleap's Child Safeguarding & Protection Policy.
Any safeguarding concern should be reported immediately to Dreamleap.
14. Withdrawal from Programmes
Participation is voluntary.
Students or parents may request withdrawal from a programme at any time by contacting Dreamleap.
Dreamleap may also discontinue participation where:
- programme requirements are not met;
- false information has been provided;
- safeguarding concerns arise;
- continued participation is not appropriate; or
- programme capacity or operational requirements change.
15. Record Retention
Dreamleap may retain programme records for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- administer programmes;
- meet legal obligations;
- satisfy audit requirements;
- resolve disputes; or
- improve programme effectiveness.
When records are no longer required, they will be securely deleted or anonymised where reasonably practicable.
16. Changes to this Policy
Dreamleap may update this Policy periodically to reflect:
- changes in law;
- new programmes;
- technological developments;
- improvements to safeguarding practices; or
- operational requirements.
Updated versions will be published on our website together with the revised "Last Updated" date.

18. Consent Declaration
By submitting an application or participating in any Dreamleap programme, I confirm that:
- The information provided is true, complete, and accurate to the best of my knowledge.
- I have read and understood this Student & Parent Consent Policy.
- I have also read the Dreamleap Privacy Policy and understand how personal information will be collected, used, stored, and protected.
- I consent to Dreamleap processing personal information for programme administration and related charitable purposes, in accordance with applicable law.
- Where I am acting as a parent or legal guardian, I confirm that I am authorised to provide consent on behalf of the student.
- I understand that participation in Dreamleap programmes does not guarantee scholarships, sponsorships, financial assistance, mentorship, or continued programme participation.
- I understand that separate consent may be requested for the use of photographs, videos, testimonials, or success stories.
